What is faith, really?
Webster's definition is an allegiance to duty or a person, loyalty, fidelity to one's promises, and sincerity of intentions. It goes on to say that it is a belief and trust in and loyalty to God, belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion, a firm belief in something for which there is no proof, and finally, complete trust!
Without using any of our "Christianese words," write out your own definition for faith?
In the Word, the writer of Hebrews says, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (11:1) We can read all throughout the Bible about people who had great faith and trust in God and acted in accordance to that faith. Take a few minutes and read through Hebrews 11(the "Hall of Faith"), the entire chapter. Write down anything that sticks out to you. Reread it. Ask God to speak to you about what it means to have faith that is alive and active. Any questions? Thoughts?
I am starting this blog with Faith because that is where we start with God, Faith. You can't believe He is part of your life without faith. But how far do we take our faith. Do we stop at the foot of the cross with the belief that Jesus died for our sins? Or do we worship at the foot of the cross and then pick up our own cross and follow Jesus daily through a life that we won't always understand? A life that will hurt, disappoint, and leave us utterly broken. Just like those that are written about in Hebrews, we won't see everything that we are hoping for. But God is faithful beyond words. His loving-kindness reaches into our lives, our hurts, disappointments, and our borkenness to bring healing, health, and wholeness in ways that we could have never imagined for ourselves.
But it is the Faith that we have in Him, in His faithfulness that enables us to live for Him each day! Ask Him what it will look like in your life to live each day by faith. Write down what He is speaking to you and put it into action!

I think faith is sticking with God through thick and thin. In most cases I just talk to God when I'm having problems but it shouldn't be like that. I should praise God when life is going smoothly and pray for wisdom when there's a bump in the road. Faith is pretty hard to live out at all times!
Yeah I agree with Allie that you should always be like praying and talking to god not only when things go wrong just like every night before you to bed and I think that faith is like beliveing and trusting and just boing that his always going to be there for you.
I think faith is trusting in God, and loving Him with every inch of your body and soul, and knowing that you can count on Him for anything. We should all pray and worship Him with all our hearts because He's truly amazing. Faith is believing in something, but also trusting the truth of it. It isn't based on proof, but purely on what you believe and know. And only you individually can have it, from your own experiences. (:
